The product of the chemical reaction of the fuel cell, which uses hydrogen as its fuel, is only water, that is to say the tail gas that the fuel cell let out has almost no pollution. So, in the recent years, the fuel cell automobiles’ rapid development and commercial advance sweep the entire world. Nowadays, the great efficiency, the saving of energy and the favorable environment performance of zero pollution or nearly zero pollution, make the fuel cell automobile into a hotspot of the energy field and the traffic field in the world. Following international big auto producers and petroleum magnates’ active attention, the devotion of abundant of bankroll and technique, the fuel cell automobile has already walked out of the laboratory, and started its commercial journey. Most of experts optimistically consider that the fuel cell automobile will bring the revolution of automobile industry, and finally become the mainstream instead of traditional gas-engine automobiles.


The fuel cell automobile based on the fuel of PEMFC needs hydrogen as its fuel. Recently if we carry out the fuel cell automobile commercial turning, we will mostly face the issue that how to solve the hydrogen source and how to reduce the cost. Hydrogen source has already become the technical bottleneck of fuel cell commercial turning. There are two ways to gain the fuel of automobile fuel cell: one is directly using hydrogen, the other is making hydrogen in the automobiles. The two ways both have many different technical paths, so how to gain the fuel of hydrogen has always been the focus of people’s controversy. At the present time our country’s whole technique level of fuel cell has a long distance to the international advanced level. If we want to catch up with the international level, we must find the best point, which fit to the situation of our own country, to cut in, that is to say it must be the most reasonable fuel chain no matter we consider economy, energy efficiency or environment performance.
